At Space For Play, we understand how important sleep is for a growing child.
In line with our Sleep policy at Space For Play, we allow each child to dictate their sleeping pattern whilst in our care. If your child feels tired or falls asleep we will not interfere with their need for rest.
At Space For Play we practice safe outdoor sleeping all year round. Children under the age of two are placed in cots in our calm sensory garden where they sleep in the fresh air. When sleeping outside, children tend to sleep for longer and have more restful sleep. During the winter, children are wrapped in suitable clothing and blankets and during the summer children are kept in the shade and are suitably dressed. For older children we have sleep mats and sleeping bags we can set up in the outdoor classroom.
